Austin Motor Vehicle Club NSW Inc
The Austin Motor Vehicle Club NSW was formed on 8th December 1979 by a few members of the A40 Club who wanted a wider range of Austin models to be included.
The first meeting was held at Gates Road, Luddenham on 15th February 1980.
By the end of the first year, the number of members had increased to 25 and meetings were held at the homes of various members. In January 1981, meetings moved to the Bankstown Sports Club and were held on the 4th Friday of each month.
The meeting venue has changed a few times over the years – Harry Todd Band Hall in Parramatta; the NRMA office at Strathfield; Cumberland High School; Strathfield Golf Club, and we now meet at Wentworthville Leagues Club in Smith Street, Wentworthville on the second Wednesday every second month (Jan Mar, etc)
There is a wide range of vehicles in the club, and you do not need to have an Austin to be a member, just an interest in Austins.
We have a large library available to members, and a very knowledgeable membership who are always ready to assist anyone who needs help.
Monthly Club runs are held on the 4th Sunday of each month, and as we have members living all over Sydney, we try to travel in a different direction each month.
